The Sudoku Game: Logic Puzzles to Challenge You
The Sudoku game was first popularized in puzzle books when it was invented by an American in the late 1970s. But it took its rise in popularity in Japan, where it began to find an audience in the late 1980s, to really bring it to international attention. But once it became all the rage to play this game of number logic in Japan, which actually did not happen until the last couple years; the game took off in popularity especially in the United States. It did not take long before there were websites and puzzle books devoted to Sudoku with games to play for all levels of expertise. You can buy puzzle books at most magazine stores or sit down at your computer to play. The Sudoku game is a number game that requires the player to use their logic skills to pick which numbers go where. The grid is made up of nine boxes three in each row of threes. In the boxes are three rows of three. In each of the boxes the numbers one to nine must be represented. As well in the rows of numbers that go from top to bottom, again it is nine squares; they must have the numbers one to nine. No row can repeat a number nor can any or the nine square boxes have a number more than once. This is where the challenge comes into play and where logic becomes the essence of the game. You must sharpen your logic skills to correctly place the numbers in the open squares. The Sudoku game puzzles are available in varying degrees of difficulty. They range from easy, to intermediate, hard and finally to challenging. The number of givens, this is a term used to refer to the numbers that are already on the grids, do not necessarily determine the difficulty of the level though, of course, this is one of the elements that make it tougher. Sometimes the puzzles are not given a level of difficulty but a certain amount of time in which to solve them in, thus making them more difficult by association. When first learning to play the Sudoku game you should be able to find directions on any of the sites you look for games on. They will have pointers and suggestions especially for those who are trying the Sudoku game for the first time. There are even websites that allow you to download the Sudoku game free to enjoy on your computer.
